Hybrid Transit Awarded SmartWaySM Transport Partner Status

September 1, 2008 - Hybrid Transit Systems, Inc., (SCAC: HYAT) announced today that it has joined the SmartWay™ Transport Partnership, an innovative collaboration between the EPA and the freight sector designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions, and improve energy security

Through its documented compliance, Hybrid has achieved a SmartWay™ Transport Partnership Performance Score of 1.25 (highest score available), representing outstanding environmental performance.  The score reflects that Hybrid is already utilizing most of the commercially available fuel saving strategies and is actively evaluating the latest emerging technologies.
